Galeon Playa Apartments

I originally emailed the hotel ahead of my stay to arrange a room upgrade on one of the 3 rooms i had booked for this family holiday this was agreed via email but was not on my booking on arrival thus resulting in the room not been ready on arrival. Then when we entered our room eventually the handle on the door to the balcony was completely snapped off resulting in another visit to reception. We then had issues with one of the lifeguards who kept telling my child to get out the pool for some reason I understand the rules say must be supervised under a certain age and we were watching her just not in the pool and there was alot of children under that age in the pool and only my child was asked to get out the pool multiple times. The park was closed for the majority of the holiday as it was been painted this was not communicated to guests at all he would just turn up and close the park. We had to move 2 of the rooms from 3rd floor to ground floor I had requested ground floor and since there was availability not sure why this was not arranged prior to arrival. One of the rooms had a foul smell where they had sprayed it due to ants the smell would not leave so had to move that room again. The hotel also has no Aircon although I knew this beforehand still not great had to hire a fan. The only reason I have given poor instead of terrible is because breakfast was okay and the staff that run the kids club are amazing. This was my 2nd visit to this hotel but unlikely to visit again unfortunately.

Theses apartments are great was there at start of may for 10 nights as I have been before.Get better every time I go a place that’s got to be stayed at if you are in Lanzarote .I emailed before arriving to request pool view which I got apparent was modern with your own WiFi nice walk in shower with bedroom to back ,Felt really safe here for my son had golf kids club ten pin bowling play park and also great pool bar which serve great snacks especially pizza and good prices only problem was I couldn’t stay longer but will be back again this year again

Stayed here as a family group for the second time December 2018 and December 2019, staff are helpful and rooms clean and well equipped. Breakfasts very good value , main swimming pool heated and safe with pool attendant constantly keeping watch, kids club great fun for the little ones. Look forward to staying here again cannot fault the hotel.

Desperate need of an upgrade but building work did not bother us. Clean but bathroom and wardrobe need updating and general fixtures and fittings are very worn and tired No blind or curtain up in the bedroom/living room. The new building work that is currently happening is llooking good though.

First time staying at this hotel, second time in Lanzarote (and in Costa Teguise). Was very pleased with the location, the staff were more than friendly and helpful (we reported a blockage that was causing the shower water to spill out, by the time we cam back from getting dinner it had been sorted). Apart from noisy kids running about (the rooms were quite echoey) before 8am most mornings, overall we found the hotel relatively peaceful, but overall comfortable. Having a Dino market across the way meant you could get the essentials easily and relatively cheaply so that yo could sit on the terrace with either a cold beverage or a cuppa and read you book in lovely sunshine. How much sun you get during the day depends on where you room is, we seemed to get it from about 10am through to about 4, after that, the terrace was in shade (but still warm:)) Its locale to food outlets is also very good. If you fancy a cocktail or 3, visit the Vali just round the corner. The staff in there were fun to be with and the drinks are very well priced (and also very good :)). We didn't eat or drink in the hotel (just heard some of the entertainment that was on offer, but not our cup of tea) so cannot comment on that. That being said, you are spoiled fro choice within less than 5 minutes walk up the road.

Lovely friendly staff, apartments in the process of being upgraded. Our apartment needed an upgrade but was clean comfy beds and kitchen area had everything we needed. We had breakfast in the restaurant a couple of times and was very good value for money. We like eating out at different locations in Costa teguise and the apartments are situated in a deal situation close to beach and shops. The heated pool was great and we spent time in the pool and the beach. We will definitely use the galeleon playa again and can't wait for our next holiday on this lovely island. Have been visiting the island for years a s family have an a apartment here but when we are all here at the s a me time in the winter we will stay at the galeleon playa again.jet 2 made our flight home so easy due to the checking in service at the hotel, just left our suitcases checked in by jet 2 who then took the cases to the airport,so easy what a fantastic service.

This hotel offer a pleasant stay for family with young children, as the entertainment was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean throughout the hotel. The restaurant had a wide range to offer.

the apartments are clean and the staff are great. There are two swimming pools but we used the little cove nearby for swimming has the pool coould be a little cold. But there were children who were certainly enjoying the swimming pools.

Only used the hotel as a base on our first visit second visit sunbathed around the pool most days and found it had something for everyone. the one improvement would be some more english tv channals apart from that no complaints at all.
