Find out moreSnuggled on Menorca’s southeast coast and tucked among cascading greenery, the peaceful area of Cala Llonga provides a pocket of calm for all the serenity-seeking holidaymakers out there. Things move at a go-slow pace here, but bustling neighbours, Mahón and Es Castell, are on standby for whenever you fancy stepping things up a notch.

When you experience how serene Cala Llonga is, you’ll find it hard to believe you’re just 8km away from Menorca’s capital, Mahón. A hub of historic wonder and cultural delights, this sight-filled city is an absolute must-visit. First stop, the shoes shops… well it would be rude not to!
Es Castell lies a little further along the coast from Mahón, and centres around a duo of delightful harbours, Calas Corb and Calas Fonts. If you’re in search of some souvenirs, Calas Fonts holds a night market during the summer months, and it kicks off at 8pm.
Menorca
Take a tour of Bodegas Binifadet to find out how wine is made. The wineries here can be visited all year round and the tours give a comprehensive history of Binifadet wine and show you how it's produced and stored. The bodega is open Monday to Friday but the restaurant attached is open every day.
Menorca
Postcards may be a little bit passé, but if you've ever seen one of Menorca it will undoubtedly be of the virgin beaches at Macarelleta. The shallow waters give the bays a tropical turquoise hue and it's less-crowded than other beaches nearby and a stunning place to swim and sunbathe. In high season, it's best accessed by bus.
Menorca
Cala Pregonda is a 30-minute walk from any parking or roads, so plan for the day and take some supplies. Due to its location, it's also not suitable for people with walking difficulties, wheelchairs or pushchairs. It differs to other Menorcan beaches and has red sands and couple of islands that you can swim out to and climb. There are safer beaches for families nearby, as Pregonda tends to be windy with strong currents.
