There’s a whole host of restaurants and bars in the area that are ready and willing to provide lunches and evening meals, and there are four supermarkets within easy reach in case you fancy a few snacks in between. There’s even a café right on the beach front, for refreshing mid-sunbathing drinks.
Arenal d’en Castell is ideally located for venturing further afield on both the north and east coasts. To the north-west of the town, you’ll find Son Parc and Playa de Fornells sitting pretty along the coast, whereas the capital city of Mahón is tucked away to the south.

Enjoy a pleasant stroll along the coast to the tranquil fishing village of Na Macaret, around a 30-minute walk from Arenal. It has a pleasant, if small, beach that offers safe bathing for little ones. It also has a small number of restaurants that pride themselves on providing quality food with fresh local produce. Make sure you wear appropriate shoes!

For an enjoyable evening, head to the Coves Noves residential centre at the entrance to the resort. It has an attractive square with several bars that stay open late. If you've got kids, enjoy early evening drinks at Backgammon Bar while the little ones play safely in the inflatable area next door.

Famous for its giant hanging kebabs is the El Pirata restaurant in the Coves Noves resort. Kids will love the subtle pirate theme while the grown ups can enjoy some Spanish wines on the outdoor terrace. Toni and Amparo are great hosts and the international menu serves fresh seafood and tasty tapas.
