A picturesque place that’s a haven for history buffs, Felanitx is everything you could wish for from an authentic Majorcan holiday. The marvellous Sant Miquel Church takes centre stage in the town centre, with a striking decorative façade that’s sure to wow.
The covered market is held every day except Mondays, with the Sunday market extremely popular with souvenir-seekers. Spend the morning perusing, then stop off in one of the local cafés for a spot of lunch. There couldn’t be a better way to spend a day!
Majorca
The Arab Baths are one of the few remaining sites from the Moorish reign between the 8th and 13th centuries. To get to the small underground chambers that survived you walk through a lush walled garden. You'll see the rooms used for hot baths and warm baths, and the slits in the domed roof where steam escaped from.
Majorca
Stunning, time-honoured buildings in faded ochres and beiges make up the pretty town of Bunyola. It’s a place nestled within rolling hillsides and a great stop-off point if you’re travelling on to Sóller. You’ll find a central square surrounded by dainty coffee shops, a railway line and the odd mural.
Majorca
Fancy kicking back on one of Majorca’s most magical beaches? Then bring your bucket and spade along to oh-so pretty Cala Formentor. It’s a colourful spot thanks to its emerald pine forest backdrop, white sand and turquoise waters. The waves are shallow, so it’s great for kids, and there's a nice restaurants too.
